Getting
blocked drains is extremely bad news. It disrupts your enjoyment of
your property, takes hours of time and effort to resolve and the cost of
hiring specialist equipment is extremely expensive. The problem is even
worse if you are renting your property. Blocked drains can lead to
very expensive compensation claims from clients who can have their holiday
ruined as a result of not being able to use their bathrooms. The problem
of blocked drains seems to be a more regular problem on the Algarve than
most property owners would expect. The main reasons for this are twofold:
1. Many of the drains are not adequately planned or constructed.
2. The native trees have extraordinarily strong roots that grow
into the drains. The main culprit is the pine tree which is present
in most gardens and given enough time is able to break into even well
constructed drains.
The Solution!
We recommend to all owners of properties over 5 years old to take out
our annual drain maintenance contract. This works as follows:
1. Your drains are inspected, flushed and cleared. Any remedial
works required will be reported to the owner and a quote for the work
prepared.
2. GUARANTEED call out cover. Once the drains are in good clear
working order, they do not tend to block. However, if a blockage
does occur then this will be cleared FREE of charge. In fact up
to two blockages per year would be covered by this guarantee.
3. The above guarantee is limited to normal blockages which can be cleared
using our powerful specialised drain clearing equipment. We must
however specifically exclude works involving excavations, the installation
of new drainage channels, pipes, boxes or inspection covers all of which
would be quoted for separately.
One standard annual fees applicable to average sized properties are as
follows:
| Property Size |

If your property can not be accommodated within this standard pricing

€65 there after.
