Dunas Douradas
Dunas Douradas Resort:
This family friendly residential resort is a hidden treasure in the Algarve! Located between Vale do Lobo and Quinta do Lago and is set in over 70 acres of woodland right on the coastline! The name, translated, means Golden Dunes, which does justice to the gorgeous sandy beaches that are in a short walking distance from the properties, whether you are in an apartment, townhouse or villa. There are a number of different beach front restaurants, with amazing views, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or a full meal, sometimes with live music!
The resort is a development of privately owned properties that are surrounded by beautifully landscaped and looked after gardens, pine trees and, of course, the beautiful beaches!
There are a range of onsite facilities, including the communal large roman style pool with a separate children's pool, a poolside bar that serves snacks & refreshments throughout the day, the lovely Xenia restaurant, tennis courts, a playground, a small supermarket, 24h security and the main Dunas Douradas reception, with their friendly staff always ready to help with anything you may require.
Getting to know the resort:
Dunas Douradas is divided into different zones, from 1 to 9, with each zone having a certain style of property. The property code for our accommodation will give you an idea of which zone the property is located in, and they can vary from 2 bedroom apartments to 5 bedroom villas.
Zone 1:
Across the road from the central reception area is small cul de sac with about 10 village house and these are the one hundred numbers i.e: DD102. These townhouses usually are two bedroom properties and have their own private pools /plunge pools.
Zone 2:
On the perimeter of the main reception is another group of townhouses, located within cobblestone pedestrian walkways. These townhouses can vary from 2 to 3 bedrooms, most have private pools and the codes will be the two hundreds, i.e: DD220.
Zone 3:
This zone is the three hundred zone and comprises of the apartment area that surrounds the communal pools and tennis courts. The apartment blocks are two storeys high with 4 apartments in each block .
Zones: 4 & 5
These zones are in the immediate surrounding areas of the main reception and are mainly 3 to 4 bedroom villas with private pools and gardens, i.e: DD404 & DD518.
Zone:6
This area is near the border of Dunas Douradas and Vale do Lobo and has wonderful 2 to 3 bedroom townhouses with private terraces and pools. Some have sea views from the roof terraces and are only a 10 minute walk to the beach or the communal pool and they are the six hundreds.
Zones: 7 & 9
Modern 4 to 5 bedroom villas. These properties have been built to an extremely high standard and have large swimming pools. They are ideal for a larger family to enjoy a break together!
